Senior University

Senior Action Network's (SAN) Senior University trains Seniors in San Francisco on community organizing skills, Senior leadership, and Senior empowerment. It is offered to Seniors throughout San Francisco in several languages: English, Vietnamese, Russian, Spanish, and Chinese.

Each round of Senior University consists of 4 class sessions. The curriculum includes:

  • Community Organizing
  • Taking Direct Action in the Community
  • Lobbying
  • Conducting an Effective Meeting
  • Public Speaking
  • Diversity
  • Leadership

Senior University classes are fun and exciting, refereshments are provided, and

ALL CLASSES ARE FREE!

Graduates of Senior University follow up on their training by becoming involved in community organizing activities, leadership roles in their neighborhoods and communities, and volunteer roles in organizations serving Seniors or the San Francisco community. Senior University is for Seniors (50 years of age or older) and Persons with Disabilities. Refreshments and Lunches will be served.
